An Autumn favorite treat.

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup Cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Optional Toppings

  • Nuts, toasted and chopped (peanuts, almonds, pecans, pistachios)
  • Coconut, toasted
  • Melted Chocolate
  • Mini Chocolate Chips

1. Prepare your apples on a parchment lined baking sheet. Wash and dry the apples and remove the stems. Poke a popsicle stick through the top of each apple and place on the baking sheet and set aside. Place your optional toppings into small bowls.

2. In a small pot over medium heat, melt the sugar. The sugar will begin to clump together before it fully melts - keep stirring until fully melted. Don't let the sugar burn. Once melted, remove from the heat.

3. Carefully stir in the butter (the mixture will spatter), them pour in the cream, vanilla and salt. Stir well to combine and then allow the mixture to cool for 5 minutes.

4. Dip each apple into the caramel - tip the pot or bowl as needed to coat the apple evenly. Place the dipped apple onto the baking sheet and sprinkle with your desired toppings or roll your apple into your desired toppings. Let cool and harden on your baking sheet.
