SMC Holistics is a British Columbia based artisanal shop. We offer, from head to toe beauty and lifestyle natural products. Our carefully handcrafted products are made from beautiful botanicals, luxurious beauty oils, butters and therapeutic grade essential oils. Our luxurious eco-conscious products can be used by everyone.
We believe that natural, safe and non-toxic products deliver the best skin care possible. We are devoted to always delivering the highest quality products at affordable prices. Every product we carry has been thoughtfully formulated and every ingredient we include in our formulations has an active role in the product. You won’t find any fillers in our products which results in highly concentrated formulations that are nourishing and effective. Our small batch formulations allow us to pay close attention to every detail and ingredient that goes into the skin and body care we create for you. Quality, pride and care is involved every step of way.
Every single product is created with your skin and body health in mind, as well as the health of our beautiful planet. More than 90% of our packaging is plastic free. We use glass packaging that is reusable and recyclable as much as possible.
Most of the shipping materials are recyclable paper boxes and materials that have been repurposed. If you find plastic shipping materials in your parcel, it has been repurposed from shipments that have been received from other companies.
All products are formulated and are free from: palm oil, parabens, formaldehyde, phthalates, SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), petroleum and mineral oils, synthetic fragrances and synthetic colours.

What's your business, and who are your customers?
I create beautiful and luxurious products that are all-natural without the use of synthetic fragrances or synthetic colors. I want people to feel safe with what they are putting on their skin every day, and I like to use ingredients that have been used for thousands of years that have proven safe for skin absorption countless times. I love the planet we get the privilege to enjoy, and I also like to do my best for the planet. Not only are the ingredients safe for humans, but also for the planet. Although almost impossible to avoid plastics, I do what I can to minimize plastic packaging, and I opt for glass and metal where possible. We really don't need all these toxic chemicals in our daily lives, and you can still live a beautiful life without them! I believe that the chemicals found in our daily lives have a significant impact on the health of our microbiome, which affects our skin, overall health, and immune system. In the near future, I will be discussing more of this in my blog, which can be found on my website.
Tell us about yourself
Initially, I began by creating safe and non-toxic products for my baby and myself to use. I then wanted to work with essential oils, so I took an aromatherapy course to learn more. The more I learned about ingredients and products, the more engulfed I became with living more and more natural, and it is very much a lifestyle for me in all aspects. Despite working as a certified dental assistant when I began my journey into creating natural products, I couldn't keep my mind off it. It excited me so much every day that it consumed me! I love every minute of creating natural products; I even find myself daydreaming about it and living a natural lifestyle. It truly feeds my soul and makes my heart happy to be creating beautiful, safe products as well as beauty all around me.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Pushing through and creating everything on my own. From my website to my products to my labels. Everything has been done by me alone, and it feels good to look back and see all that I have accomplished.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
There will always be ups and downs, and nobody ever talks about the downs. I have and do have my own, and it can be difficult when you have no one to talk to about it or help you push forward in your business. Sometimes resources can become limited, and you may feel stuck and not know which corner to turn next.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Never give up on what you want.
- Remember it may take time....sometimes years!
- Do what makes you happy and brings joy to your heart, and gives you your sense of purpose. It may not be your only purpose, but if it fills your soul, then keep going.

We have been given such a gift of a beautiful life on this beautiful Earth. Let's cherish both ourselves more, love ourselves more, and make the best choices for our own health and the planet. Both deserve it.
